Larry is principal founder of GeNovo Consulting, LLC. He is an organizational development professional with over 25 years working and consulting in companies ranging from global Fortune 500 environments to privately held small firms. He is an expert at developing and implementing comprehensive talent management practices on a large scale, and also specializes in improving the operating effectiveness of firms, business units, and functions through the application of well-researched and validated organizational diagnosis and change management methodologies. And he is also a principal in GeNovo’s executive coaching practice.
His background also includes internal roles such as VP, Organizational Development for PetSmart, Inc., VP of Organizational Effectiveness and Corporate Communications for Hostess Brands, Inc. and Group Manager, Organizational Development at Frito-Lay. He has also consulted in similar capacities with Global 500 organizations such as Royal Dutch Shell. Today he consults widely in a variety of industries, and serves on the faculty at the University of Texas-Dallas, Jindal School of Management, Executive Education, and teaches graduate level organizational behavior, diagnosis and leadership classes. In addition, Larry is the Associate Editor of the American Psychological Association’s Consulting Psychology Journal: Practice and Research in addition to serving as an Executive Board member of APA’s Society of Consulting Psychology, Division 13.
Larry earned a PhD degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Texas Tech University, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Oregon University.
